EASY APPETIZERS FOR ANY CHRISTMAS EVENT

Appetizers are like the opening act of a meal, they set the stage for the main course and leave you wanting an encore…

As someone who likes everything to look visually appealing, however does not like to spend too much time in the kitchen, I think I came up with the absolutely best & easiest appetizers that you can serve at your next Christmas event. Of course you can always count on Trader Joe’s frozen isle but I promise you these are super easy to make. Decorating them takes longer than making them if we are being honest!

Artichoke dip
Got the Trader Joe’s Artichoke & Jalapeno Dip & mixed it with a little bit of cream cheese & let it mold into ball in freezer. Then dipped it in pomegranate to make it look like an ornament. For the topper I used Rolo & just added the bow. Serve it with any salty cracker you would like.
Brie & Jam
Used Divina Chili Fig Spread on French baguette, add a thin layer of light brie & bake it for 2-4 minutes. Top it off with pomegranate & parsley.
Caprese salad
The easiest yet tastiest salad. But some pre cut Mozzarella cheese, cut your tomatoes. I add a bit of flaky salt to my tomatoes before assembling the salad. Add fresh or dried basil & serve the sauce on the side to avoid making a mess on the serving dish.
Cheese balls
These were delicious & super easy to make. Mix Boursin Garlic And Herb Cheese with cream cheese. Make it into a ball & then dip it in crushed walnuts, dried cranberries & parsley. Let it cool for an hour in the fridge before serving. (only to hold the shape)
Cheese board
Always a crowd pleaser. The easiest & most convenient way of adding everything nicely together. I made mine look like a Christmas tree & I tried to use seasonal cheese, like the cranberry goat cheese. Try to keep a balance of meat, cheese & also you can add fruits & nuts as well. I used sliced salami as well as dried.
Chicken salad
Another crowd pleaser. This s my mom’s recipe however it is super easy. Just use some boiled chicken, fresh parsley, a bit of pickle juice, Italian seasoning & mayo. The mayo helps it to be sticky so it was super easy to make it into a Christmas tree & top it off with more parsley & use pomegranate to act as ornaments on the tree. you can cut a cheese in shape of a star & put it on top which I forgot to do. It works the best to serve it along side of french baguette.
Green Salad with Apples, Cranberries & pecans
One of my favorite salads of the season. Use spring mix, green apples or pear, dried cranberries, pecans & feta cheese. For dressing I serve it with balsamic glaze on the side.
Olives
Used kalamata olives & Italian Castelvetrano Whole Green Olives to make a wreath & decorated it with few cherry tomatoes & marinated mozzarella balls from Trader Joe’s.
Fruit platter
This is mainly to go along side of the cheese board since I was not able to add too much to mine Christmas tree themed cheeseboard. You can use nay fruit you would like. I went with grapes, berries & banana for the middle.

These are all super easy appetizer’s that you can put together in less than 2 hours, decorate them nicely & your guests will enjoy every bit of it. You can find so many cute ways to decorate any food

For drinks…

We had Prosecco & cranberry cocktails. For Prosecco I pre made this super cute wine glasses with rosemary & pomegranate seeds. And for cranberry cocktails I made the chaser which was cranberry juice, lime juice & splash of orange juice & poured them in clear ornaments & decorated them with sugared fresh cranberries & sugared cypress leaves. I didn’t add the alcohol to the drinks just to give my guests the option of if they want to have it with tequila, vodka or have a mocktail.
