After skincare, my next most important step of a smoother looking make up is the base which is foundation. I remember I used to be so scared of wearing foundation because I would always end up looking so caky so I would either skip on wearing foundation or I would look absolutely ridiculous. To begin with I started learning about my skin type so I could buy the right product for my skin. However there are some foundations that work for most skin types & those are my favorite kind of foundations. Generally speaking I like foundations that are light weight,have natural finish,blend nicely & has an acceptable amount of coverage. So YES I expect a lot from a foundation. Here my favorite foundations & why I love them!
Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation – $6.59
The most affordable foundation in this list & I promise you it works! It has a heavy coverage so if you are looking for more of a night time & long lasting foundation from drugstore this is amazing! I would personally not wear this during day time because it has a heavy coverage. They have a oil free version as well which works better for oily skins.
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation with SPF 15 – $13.59
My go to day time foundation from drug store. just like the Maybelline one it has a oil free version as well. the formula is lightweight,however it has a beautiful coverage. It is super builtable & it stays on all day long.
Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation – $42.00
If there is one foundation from this list that you must try is this one(if you have been living under the rock & haven’t heard about this foundation) It is the most lightweight foundation with the most beautiful natural skin looking finish while it has a fantastic coverage. I use this day or nighttime & every single time I use this foundation I get a lot of compliments on my make up.
Dior BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundation – $40.00
The most recent foundation I have tried & I would say this is the best day time foundation. The coverage is amazing & it blends like a dream. It is super smooth. If you have a lot of spots to cover before applying the foundation use a concealer on those spots & then apply this foundation for smoother complexion.
Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick – $46.00
One of the most difficult foundation to work with is stick foundation because they are normally super thick so as a result the blend is a bit harder. However this stick foundation is probably the most high coverage foundation ever without it being heavy. It is defiantly not a weightless foundation & I won’t advise using this on day time evens since it is super thick. If like a dewy finish spray for face with a glowy setting spray like the Iconic London or Pixi one
TOM FORD Traceless Soft Matte Foundation – $88.00
This is a new discovery as well & for a second I hesitated to put it in this list only because of the super expensive price point. However, it is the smoothest while being very high coverage! If you like the Armani foundation & you want it to be a little more high coverage try this! It has a wiped texture, applies so beautifully & it does magic if you have texture or large pores.
