Less is more with makeup when traveling for me! I know it might not seem like it, because I pretty much have a full glam moments a lot but the secret is to use one product in multiply ways to achieve different looks. For day time I go very basic! Tinted sunscreen, CC or BB cream is the perfect base. If I had one too many margaritas I will use a concealer but honestly there is nothing that a big sunglass can not hide! Eye brow gel, a little cream blush, lipliner & lip balm is pretty much all you need! For nighttime I use more products! Tinted moisturizer , concealer, lashes! I use my blush, bronzer & highlighter for eyeshadow look. (or you can simply take your favorite palette ) Add mascara, a bit of bronzer & lip gloss & Ta-Da you have a glam nighttime look! Nighttime look is definitely over the top! you can skip lashes & apply your favorite mascara which is what I do mostly unless I want to be SUPER glam! One thing that is not negotiable for me is setting spray! I use it day & night! Here is everything I pack in my makeup bag.
TINTED MOISTERIZER
I prefer one with SPF! You can use it day or nighttime. I personally don’t like foundation on tropical vacation but If I must choose one Armani is the one to go with. It’s suer light & has a great coverage.
CONCEALER
I love using a light one for under my eyes & dark one for bronzer! During the day I try to skip it but if I had one too many margaritas I go for it sometimes I spot conceal.
MASCARA
If you plan on wearing it in the pool or beach go for a waterproof one. I mostly use it at night since during the day sunglasses are my best friend!
EYEBROW PENCIL & GEL
During the day I will only go for eyebrow gel & brush them up. For nighttime I like to make an effort & actually fill my brows in! ( Huda beauty eyebrow pencil is waterproof in case you want one for pool time!)
FALSE LASHES
My go to easy & light lashes have been Ardell demi wispy lashes for years! I use the brush on adhesive & a pair of tweezers to apply! They are super light weight but make the biggest difference & take the glam to the next level.
EYE + FACE PALLETE
Best way to avoid over packing! You have your bronzer, blush & highlighter in one pace & you can create eyeshadow look with the same colors.
POWDER
I need to set my under eyes specially for a night time look if not everything will be moving around! Don’t overdo it tho! Let the vacation glow peek through!
LIPS
One nude & one red is all you need! I use lip balm as a gloss!
SETTING SPRAY
Probably one of the reasons I check a bag is my setting spray! It keeps everything in & prevents makeup from melting & moving around specially when you are somewhere tropical.
