| Hair Care Routine for damaged/breakage hair |

Dear Noteblair,

Where do I begin…Dear hair, I’m sorry for what I’ve put through!

Years after years of bleaching, heat styling and brushing harshly got me to a stage where I had relay on hair extensions more than ever. specially front of my hair was breaking so much that it looked like i had short hair in front and a little bit long on the back hence I started REALLY taking care of my hair and I have to give credit for some of the products I’m using because of
Ashley Brooke .She has the most beautiful hair & I always trust her recommendations. I will start the routine from shower to the last step. Have this in mind I only wash my hair once a week and sometimes even more. No it is not disgusting and it does not smell. you have to train your hair a bit after a while it won’t even get oily. the natural oils of your scalp is beneficial for your hair.

Before shower:
I always put on my Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 before shower. I do my best to put it on the night before and shower in the morning but sometimes I have to wash it the same day so I try to at least leave it on for 3 hours. This product is to help the hair with breakage & I have seen an amazing result ever since I started leaving in overnight. I wear a plastic shower cap so It helps with the product to absorb better also I don’t want it to touch my face or my satin pillow case. (I know EXTRA…)

In shower:
I recently started using the Olaplex shampoo & conditioner. The shampoo gets rid of all the built up oil and it lathers beautifully and the conditioner is heavy so it conditions the hair without weighting it down. Also noticed a huge effect on the freeze of my hair! It is definitely less frizzy now.

Hair Masks:
I sometimes use a hair mask instead of conditioner just to be a little extra and my 2 favorites are KÉRASTASE Nutritive Mask & CHRISTOPHE ROBINRegenerating Mask. They both work amazingly and soften my hair without making it oily or too flat. One of the main things I started using again is my Ovation hair therapy! this stuff works!!! I got my tons of people into using it and they all love it! they have a whole 3 step system which I don’t use, I only use the treatment and it has been working great! This helps me grow my hair longer & it also helps with thinking my hair.

styling:
I use a microfiber towel to dry my hair. AQUIS Lisse Luxe hair towel is one of the best ones I have used . It is such a genius towel that trust me the price is well worth it. Some of the key benefits are
– Cuts drying time by 50 percent, hands-free
– Helps reduce frizz and breakage
– Helps hair color stay vibrant longer.
I let my hair air dry all the way most of the times but if I have to dry it fast for sure I let it at least air dry up to 70% then I blow dry it.
For styling I first use my anti breakage serum. I have been majorly suffering from breakage due to over bleaching it so I need everything to protect my hair. after the serum I spray in my BUMBLE AND BUMBLE Thickening treatment. focusing more on the roots since I have slightly heavier hair & sometimes that can weight the hair down.I don’t always use blow dry cream but when I’m just blow drying my hair & not styling it with curling iron or straightener I i do use it. It makes the process so much easier & my blow dry lasts longer. I have couple of favorites. I either use the BUMBLE AND BUMBLE THICKENING GREAT BLOW BLOW DRY CRÈME if I’m looking for volume, or if I’m looking for a slick look i will use R+Co Park Ave Blow Out Balm. The final step which is THE MOST IMPORTANT one is heat protection. I recently started using the DAVINES MELU HAIR SHIELD. it works great & I can see less breakage in my hair when blow drying it & my hair hair looks so much shiner using this since it has Lentil Seed extract from Villella, Italy.
After the styling I always add my favorite hair oil to the ends of my hair. it smells like heaven and makes my hair very smooth.

Favorite Brushes:
For wet hair I’ve been using the Tangle Teezer for years now. It is gentle on the hair and does’t pull the hair. the best tip I can give is to try not to brush your hair when its wet. I brush my hair before getting into the shower & after when it’s about 60 to 70% dry. for dry hair I use a boar bristle hair brush since they are amazing for preventing breakage and makes my hair silky smooth! I know they are expensive but you only need one brush for the rest of your life! My mom has one that she has been using for more than 15 years and still works amazing.

I know this seems like so much but I promise you it isn’t and all of this takes less than 5 minutes to do! I find the products work the best when applied in the order I just showed you. One thing that i cannot recommend enough is to sleep on a silk pillow case. I have a whole blog post about why silk is amazing for hair and skin. read about it HERE.

As always thank you for reading & hope you can apply some of this to your routine.

Love,
Blair
